New playground at Secor Metropark!
Frank and Barbara Cubbon made a donation in honor of their family to have a new playground built in Secor Metropark along side the Walnut Grove picnic shelter on Wolfinger Road. The playground is just right for the younger crowd with swings, slides, and a treehouse and a safe state of the art cushioned surface material. The park district worked with the Arts Commission of Greater Toledo to have artists create a play piece. Jeremy Link and Doug Campfer designed and built a fallen tree slide sculpture with a nest of owls carved into the side.
The new playground was dedicated on November 13 with a family and friends enjoying a brunch at the playground and all the kids giving it a good test run.
